About Nizamuddin Auliya

Nizamuddin Auliya (1238 – 3 April 1325) was a great Sufi saint from chishti order.  An order with a mystic Sufi tradition, which is based on love and humanity. Sufism is love, which starts from a master and end upon whole world. Sufi saints start their life with love and devotion. Nizamuddin Auliya followed the same path like his predecessors. His grave is located in Nizamuddin (West Delhi).  He always lived for others and loved everyone like their own. Love is like fuel for a soul, with which life seems like a fair. Sufism is not a religion but it’s more than a religion.

Some Sufi Saints from Chishti Order:-

  1. 1. Moinuddin Chishti
  2. 2. Bakhtiyar Kaki

Life of Hazrat Nizamuddin

Nizamuddin Auliya was born in Badayun, UP (Uttar Pradesh) India.  And after death of his father he shifted to Delhi along with his mother. He lived there for several years, and then at the age of 20 he went to Pakpattan (Pakistan) and became disciple of Baba Farid. Nizamuddin had not shifted there permanently; he was coming back to Delhi after his every visit to pakpattan. And in last Baba farid announced Nizamuddin as his successor. And shortly within some days Baba Farid expired.

Amir Khusro a famous Urdu poet was very loved by Hazrat Nizamuddin, who became his disciple. He is also known as Father of Urdu language and Kawalli music. Nizamuddin wished that Amir should be buried in same grave in which he will be buried. But due to Islamic law Amir Khusro was buried nearby to Nizamuddin shrine at same place.

Nizamuddin Dargah is visited by thousands of people daily. This is the place where wishes of every one are fulfilled, There is also a believe that if you are visiting to Ajmer Sharif (Dargah of Moinuddin Chishti) first you should visit to Nizamuddin Dargah.
